I've often wondered why anyone would want to read the About Me page. Interestingly, it is the 3rd most clicked page in my website.
But I digress. So more about me. Writing has always been a big part of my life. My first published article happened when I was 9 years old. Since then, I have gone from writing and editing for the school's newspaper to taking on internships at magazines to churning out research and policy reports to drafting speeches and business letters to copywriting to book writing to dabbing in ficticious novel-writing. My exposure to writing in different contexts has led me to hone a range of writing skills which I now use to barter as a business. Getting my hands dirty in the production process has led me to meet other writers, editors, proof-readers, publishers, printers, layout artists, illustrators, software programmers (digital media is big).
When not writing, I let stories happen to me so that I can write about them - it could be going on an adventure, or trying out something I have not done before, being with people I love and care about. If you haven't figured it out, running a writing business is another cover for me to have more stories come my way - I have met many interesting people whom I have worked with and am appreciative for! I write to learn things, about myself, and about the world around me. My journey as a writer has been surprising, wild, and scary and excruciating. It is a journey into myself - my inner me, and expressing what I see and how I see things as my gift to the world.
